I’m here for you.
To comfort. To empower. To hold space.
I offer soothing hands, a skillful mind, and a gentle heart. Together we will hold sacred space throughout your unique birth journey.
In the rising storm of birth, I will be your calm.
Hi! I’m Dwan: A mother, IVF warrior, surrogate (twice!), and a professional doula.
I’ve spent over 15 years immersed in the less-than-traditional world of birth. I’ve been through it all–the good, the bad, the beautiful. And in 2019, I felt called to make birth work my full time career.
I understand that the journey to parenthood can be overwhelming, stressful, and full of unknowns. My role as a doula is to empower you with the knowledge and support to make you feel comfortable, encouraged, and capable.
Supporting in Chandler, Gilbert, Queen Creek, Scottsdale, Mesa, and Phoenix, AZ.

I already hired an OB or midwife. How can a doula help me?
Other members of the birth team are focused on the medical side of birth. As a doula, I offer holistic, non-medical services to help you feel informed, supported, and empowered throughout birth and postpartum.
Can a doula help me even if I have a supportive partner?
Yes! I love helping partners connect with and support you during labor, birth, and postpartum. With professional guidance, I help partners feel like labor-support superstars.
Will it be weird having a stranger at my birth?
My packages are designed with 2 prenatal visits to get to know each other better. I am here to listen, learn, and adapt to your unique needs and desires. After spending so much time together, I assure you: we won’t feel like strangers!
Who can benefit from hiring a postpartum doula?
My postpartum services are for anyone who wants expert help and reassurance in recovery and newborn care. It is particularly helpful for first-time parents, c-section recoveries, parents of multiples or preemies. Read more about postpartum services.
Are doulas only for parents who want an unmedicated home birth?
I am here to support birth in whatever way is most comfortable and safest for you and your baby. That can mean a home birth, hospital birth, birth center, with midwives or doctors—or anything in between. My role is to offer unbiased, evidence-based knowledge to help you make the best decisions for your body and family.
